Sunny and dry weather settles in
EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) -A cold front will eventually move through the Tri-State on Sunday and bring an end to the mid 90s we saw on Saturday. Unseasonably cool and dry weather is ahead for much of next week, so we will likely extend our dry spell to nearly 3 weeks without rainfall. For August, we have received a little over an inch of rain, about 30% of the normal. This would be the longest dry stretch of the year, and may lead to “flash” drought conditions that will appear very rapidly. High temps on Sunday will stay in the middle 80s and lows will drop into the middle 60s. For next week, daily highs will rise into the low 80s Monday through Thursday and lows will dip into the upper 50s. Warmer temps return by next weekend with highs near 90.
