PHOTOS: Dirigo Lodge #104 gives away Bikes for Books
Dirigo Lodge #104, of Weeks Mills, recently presented 20 bicycles to students at the Windsor Elementary School in their sponsored Bikes for Books program. Every student is awarded a ticket for each book they read to be entered into a drawing for the bicycle give-away. This marked the 12th year the Dirigo Lodge sponsored the program.
90 year old shoots his age on the golf course.
MADAWASKA, Maine (WAGM) - Golf is a lifetime sport with people playing the game into their 90′s and older. Some County and Western New Brunswick Clubs are no exception, as they have several members who are over the age of 90. Most of the older golfers enjoy a game with their friends at their local course, but a Madawaska golfer is one of the oldest active members of the Upper St John Valley Seniors Association. Mike Pelletier who turns 91 this week is still very competitive and shoots his age consistently.

PORTLAND (WGME) -- The South Portland city council effectively rejected a proposal to turn the old Mahoney Middle School building into transitional housing for asylum seekers. Amtrak Downeaster Upgrades for Safer, Faster Rides in Maine

Walgreens announced last week that they would be spending the rest of 2024 "resetting" their business strategy in hopes of being more profitable in the next few years.
