LANSING, MI — University of Michigan Health-Sparrow is celebrating the positive impact of their pet therapy dogs on the well-being of the mid-Michigan community. The Lansing hospital has invited all of their certified therapy dogs for a special celebration, including new leashes and tasty treats and the unveiling of a special plaque, on Tuesday July 31.
Motorcyclist killed in Ann Arbor crash
ANN ARBOR, MI – The motorcyclist who was involved in a serious crash in Ann Arbor on Friday afternoon has been pronounced dead by police. The Ann Arbor Police Department is not releasing the motorcyclist’s name at this time, but said he was a 46-year-old man from Milan.
Colder Water Due to Upwelling at Lake Michigan
Lake Michigan water temperatures north of Saugatuck have fallen significantly due to the process of upwelling. Upwelling occurs when an offshore wind blows the surface water away from the nearshore area, allowing cold water to rise from the bottom of the lake to the surface.
