Man charged with fourth DUI after wrecking his vehicle

An Oxford man faces a felony DUI charge for having multiple DUI arrests.

According to the Oxford Police Department, on May 12, officers responded to a single-vehicle wreck that occured on Highway 6 near Buddy East Parkway.

Open containers of alcohol were discovered in the vehicle.

After an investigation, Lawrence Young, 32, of Oxford was arrested and charged with DUI-fourth offense, due to prior DUI convictions.

Young was taken before a Municipal Court judge for his initial bond hearing and was issued a $25,000 bond.
