https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?url=27t1iU_0tigtDOQ00 Six finalists in the third annual Oxford CoBuilders Pitch Competition will vie for more than $10K to start a new business next week.

CoBuilders, a Partnership-Driven Accelerator, first launched by Innovate Mississippi in 2022, kicked off its yearly program through eight regional pitch competitions held in Clarksdale, Starkville, Jackson, Vicksburg, Hattiesburg, Biloxi, Tupelo, and Oxford.

The Oxford competition is sponsored by the Oxford-Lafayette County Economic Development Foundation in partnership with the University of Mississippi.

The Oxford finalists will pitch their business plans from 2 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12 at the Innovation Hub at Insight Park on the UM campus.

This event is free to attend and open to the public.

The Oxford competition finalists include Dr. Premalatha Balachandran (PleXignal LLC), Keiona Jackson (JB Culinary Holdings LLC), Terrence Green Jr. (TJ’s Animation Workshop), Julien Bourgeois (Automatic AI, LLC.), Dr. Mac Nichols (BeWell Health), and Worth DuPerier (The Pickleball GameChanger Dink, LLC.).

In preparation for their pitch, each entrepreneur has received one-on-one business coaching and will compete for their share of over $10K in seed funding.

Innovate Mississippi will also be on hand to scout these qualified startup companies, primarily in technology and innovation, for participation in the statewide CoBuilders accelerator cohort coming in the fall.

For more information on this program, contact Allen Kurr at 662-234-4651, allen@oxfordms.com or visit www.cobuilders.ms.
