Local bakeries celebrate National Donut Day

This Friday, treat yourself to something sweet on National Donut Day.

Bakeries and donut shops all over the country will be celebrating with giveaways and discounts and Oxford is no exception.

There are several donut shops located in and around Oxford.

Ollie’s Donuts of Oxford, located at 2151 S Lamar Blvd, is offering one free glazed donut with any purchase on Friday.

Donut Distillery, a new addition to the Square, opened this past Spring. Located right beside Uno Mas, this 80s-style bakery has a variety of unique donuts. This year, they are offering everyone who comes in a free, sugar and cinnamon donut. The 67th customer, for 6/7, will get a $50 gift card and anyone who comes in wearing clothes with donuts on them will get a free three-pack.

Dunkin Donuts is offering a free classic donut of your choice with a purchase of any beverage. They are located at 1739 University Ave.

Other donut locations in Oxford include Community Donuts and Kroger’s Bakery.
