Rapha’s House hosted its first Community Baby Shower recently, serving about 100 women.

The event took place on June 22 at the Lafayette County Multipurpose Arena.

The baby shower was aimed at helping single and low-income mothers who were expecting or already had children.

There were giveaways, free clothing, CPR training and more.

The Diaper Bank of the Delta, Molina Healthcare, Lafayette Pediatrics, Cabana Nutrition, Oxford Pediatrics, the University of Life Church, Rodgers Wellness, and others helped to sponsor the event.

Rapha’s House is a 30-90 day house of healing for women who are in need of a place to emotionally and mentally heal and be restored headed up by Deona Benson.
