    May 17, PSO J. R. Vaughan served a criminal summons on Kevin Matthew Pickett, 45, of Creedmoor, for second degree trespassing. Pickett was issued a court date and ordered to appear in court.

    May 17, PSO J. R. Vaughan arrested James Samuel Strater Jr, 54, of Oxford, for an outstanding failure to appear. Strater was issued a secured bond of $2,000 by Magistrate H. G. Herring Jr. and was placed in the Granville County Detention Center.

    May 19, fraud was reported on Highway 56. The suspect returned merchandise that was missing from the box and got cash for it.

    May 19, PSO A. H. Creech arrested Jose Fernandez, 47, of Essex, Maryland, and charged him with DWI and impeding the flow of traffic. Fernandez was issued a secured bond of $2,500 by Magistrate H. G. Herring Jr. and was placed in the Granville County Detention Center.

    May 20, PSO M. B. Butler arrested Ricky Deantwan Landis, 29, of Oxford, and charged him with possession of a firearm by a felon. Landis was issued a secured bond of $10,000 by Magistrate C. F. Knott and was placed in the Granville County Detention Center.

    May 21, an assault and larceny were reported on East B Street. An altercation occurred between girlfriend and boyfriend, and money was also stolen.

    May 21, an assault was reported on 22nd Street. As a result of the incident, PSO A. H. Creech arrested Sedrick Sirious Blackwell, 42, of Oxford, and charged him with assault on a female. Blackwell was issued no bond by Magistrate C. F. Knott and was placed in the Granville County Detention Center.

    May 21, a breaking and entering, larceny, and property damage was reported on Capitol Drive. The suspect(s) damaged two vending machines and stole cash.

    May 21, property damage was reported on East C Street. The suspect poured bleach on the victim’s clothing.

    May 23, PSO M. B. Butler arrested Barbara Ann Barksdale, 61, of Creedmoor, for an outstanding failure to appear. Barksdale was issued a secured bond of $1,000 by Magistrate H. G. Herring Jr. and was placed in the Granville County Detention Center.

    May 25, an assault was reported on Rogers Pointe Lane.  As a result of the incident, PSO L. T. Wilson arrested David Elliott Scott, 39, of Stem, and charged him with assault. PSO Wilson also arrested Michelle Lynn Fletcher, 44, of Creedmoor, and charged her assault. Scott and Fletcher were issued no bond by Magistrate A. L. Kearney and were placed in the Granville County Detention Center.

    May 26, PSO J. W. Aaron arrested Frances Graham Wilcox, 39, of Durham, and charged him DWI, fail to stop for lights and siren, and assault on a government official. Wilcox was issued a secured bond of $7,000 by Magistrate A. L. Kearney and was placed in the Granville County Detention Center.

    May 26, PSO L. T. Wilson arrested Juan Carlos Terrero-Reyes, 32, of Stem, and charged him with DWI. Reyes was issued a written promise to appear in court by Magistrate C. P. Bostic and was released to family members.

    May 26, a larceny was reported on East Lyon Station Road. The suspect took merchandise from the business without paying for it.

    May 26, PSO L. T. Wilson arrested Jody Len Cash, 51, of Durham, for an outstanding fugitive warrant from Virginia. Cash was issued no bond by Magistrate A. L. Kearney and was placed in the Granville County Detention Center.

    May 28, Sgt. T. B. Currin arrested Randall Wayne Perkinson, 59, of Creedmoor, for an outstanding warrant for taking game out of season. Perkinson was issued a secured bond of $500 by Magistrate A. L. Kearney and was released after posting bond.

    May 28, an assault was reported on East Lyon Station Road. An altercation occurred between juveniles.

    May 26, Jaylin Elijah Sifford, 34, of Charlotte, was charged with possession of a firearm by a felon. Bond was set at $30,000.

    May 28, Jose Dinas Orellana, 47, of Franklinton was charged with second degree force sex offense, crime against nature. Bond was set at $750,000.

    May 28, Misty Escalante, 41 of Oxford, was charged with communicating threats, assault with a deadly weapon, simple assault. Bond was set at  $2,000.

    May 29, Adriel Christopher Maybank, 35, of Gwynn Oak, MD, was charged with possession of stolen firearm, carrying concealed weapon, possession with the intent to manufacture, sell, distribute marijuana, maintaining vehicle/dwelling/place with controlled substance. Bond was set at $70,000.

    June 4, Jaden Gage Teel, no age or address provided, was arrested for possession with intent to manufacture, sell, distribute cocaine, a schedule II control substance, schedule I control substance, schedule VI control substance, marijuana. $140,000 bond. Felony possession of marijuana, possession stolen firearm, maintaining vehicle/dwelling/place with control substance, possession drug paraphernalia, possession marijuana paraphernalia, manufacture marijuana, $20,000 bond, manufacture schedule VI control substance.

    June 4, Antwon Demarcus Brooks, 21 of Oxford was charged with communicating threats, assault on a government official/employee and placed under a $6,000 bond.

    June 5, Casey Lynch, 28, of Oxford was charged with possession methamphetamine and placed under $10,000 bond.
