Wyatt Flores, who has been very open about mental health issues issued a statement on Instagram that he needed some time to "do something for myself."

The post said, "Since November, I've been struggling with the feeling of feeling nothing.  At the end of the day, I'm human and no one is built to run this hard without taking care of themselves while feeling this much adrenaline.  There are a lot of hidden variables that come into play that go beyond the lights and the music."

The break was announced as he cancelled a concert scheduled for Thursday, February 22 in Detroit and another for Friday, February 23, in Toronto.  The shows will be rescheduled.  The concert that was to be in Oxford, Ohio on February 21 was canceled and ticket holders will be able to get refunds.

Flores is just 22-years-old and coping with a lot of stress while on tour.  He has 33 stops still planned for the tour including Canada, Germany, London, and all over the United States according to his website .

Flores biggest hit came in 2022 with the release of "Please Don't Go. Please Don't Go." His music has been referred to as Oklahoma Red Dirt. Flores seems to be in touch with his feelings and has been for awhile.  In his "Orange Bottles" from his 2023 EP Life Lessons he clearly tells the story of struggling with mental health issues.

Fans seems to connect with him and his willingness to be open.  These types of songs have put Flores on the map and allowing him to have concerts where the crowd knows every song word for word.

Flores feels a strong commitment to his fans and posted is apologies for canceling the shows.

"The truth is, I struggle with my sense of worth and sometimes feel like I'm only loved because of the guitar that sits in my hand.  I have a hard time saying no to things and disappointing anyone, most importantly my fans."

He concluded with an important reminder.

"Not only is this a reminder to myself, but it should be a reminder to everyone. Take care of yourself before you take care of others, and I'll be back before too long. Love y'all.
