Penn State announced that they will raise their in-state tuition by 2% at their University Park campus for the 2025-2026 semester. The new tuition also includes a 4% increase for out-of-state undergraduate and graduate students. Pennsylvania House Leader Wants Trump Shooting Investigated
A Pennsylvania Republican leader thinks the shooting at a Trump rally should be looked into. Pennsylvania House Republican Leader Bryan Cutler is introducing legislation to look into the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump, in Butler. House Resolution 501 would form a House Select Committee to investigate the actions and response of state and local law enforcement following the assassination attempt. The bipartisan committee would then produce a report on the incident no later than November 30th. Cutler says the committee will not be looking to assign blame, but rather it seeks to discover how law enforcement can better improve practices going forward.
Sabrie Pierce Murder: Tyjohn Walker-Jones Charged
Tyjohn Walker-Jones, 16, is being charged as an adult with first-degree murder and related offenses, said authorities in a release last Wednesday, July 17. He's accused of shooting 17-year-old Pierce at the Wallingford Estates Apartments, 2701 Madison Street, according to investigators. Abdullah Muslim, 17, is also charged in connection with the deadly shooting.
