PETA's "Hell on wheels" visits local St. Joseph Chick-fil-A on Friday, July 5th
(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) Around 12:30 pm on Friday, July 5th, 2024, the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) parked their "Hell on Wheels" demonstration truck near the entrance of Chick-fil-A at the Shoppes at North Village in St. Joseph, Missouri. The truck's design replicates a chicken truck that moves chickens to slaughterhouses. The truck also played sounds of chickens with alleged subliminal messaging every ten seconds to "go vegan" on a speaker connected to the truck. PETA's "Chicken Truck Driver" Sky Morgan said St. Joseph is one of many stops in the journey across the United States this summer, "You don't have to look far for animal abuse, and this is right where I wanted to be today."
