A veteran’s memorial was unveiled at Rapp Park on June 15. Located at the west end of the park between the campground and the lake, the memorial features a large rock with a plaque honoring area veterans. This Page County project was a collaborative effort involving multiple community groups.

Iowa Legal Aid to give presentation in Shenandoah next Monday
(Shenandoah) -- A state non-profit organization is reminding older residents of the legal assistance available to them amid disaster recovery and a special justice project. Iowa Legal Aid is holding a free presentation at the Shenandoah Public Library at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 24th, to highlight those services. Josh Gaul has been an attorney with Iowa Legal Aid since 2009 after graduating from the Drake University Law School and will give the presentation. Speaking on KMA's "Morning Show" Monday, Gaul says the presentation will primarily cover two special projects they offer that could be pertinent to Page County residents.
