“I’m so happy y’all know I’m🤰🏻now I can stop wearing those deum [sic] school girl skirts lmaoooooo 😂 😂,” she wrote via X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday.
The “WAP” rapper has sported quite a few pleated miniskirts with a high waist — in an attempt to conceal her growing baby bump while keeping with her skin-baring style — over the last few months before announcing her pregnancy.
Cardi, whose real name is Belcalis Almánzar, most recently wore a navy blue and white skirt while filming a video for her new song “Wanna Be (Remix)” with GloRilla and Megan Thee Stallion.
She gave the entire look a preppy feel by adding a blue and white striped button down shirt with a yellow sweater vest and added tiny blue and white bows all throughout her long hair.
Prior to that video, Cardi wore a plaid beige schoolgirl skirt with a tight short-sleeve graphic T-shirt.
She accessorized the outfit with tall white socks with black bows on the side and another white bow holding back her ponytail.
The “I Like It” artist, 31, played with the trend once again while posing for a photo with her two children, Kulture, 6, and Wave, 2, sporting a cream skirt, blue collared sweatshirt, beige boots and matching beige bow pinned to the top of her head.
Cardi spilled the beans that she was expecting her third child with Offset just one day after she filed for divorce.
“With every ending comes a new beginning! I am so grateful to have shared this season with you, you have brought me more love, more life and most of all renewed my power! Reminded me that I can have it all!” she captioned her photos.
“They’ve grown apart. That’s what drove her to this decision more than anything else. This is something she wants to do,” a source told Page Six last week of the breakup decision.
The insider added that infidelity did not play a role in the split and that it was not “something that happened overnight.”
“They’ve both been on the same page. There wasn’t [pushback]. They’ve grown apart and that feeling has gotten stronger over time. It’s become unavoidable,” the source shared.
