Cheerful Ben Affleck spends quality time with his kids on ice cream outing after Jennifer Lopez files for divorce

Ben Affleck looked chipper as he took his two youngest kids — Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12 — out for ice cream in Los Angeles Friday night.

The “Good Will Hunting” star looked put together in a pair of khakis and a green button-down top that he paired with black and white Nike sneakers.

His children — whom he shares with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner — dressed more casually.

Seraphina opted for cargo shorts and an oversized gray sweater that read “Farm Camp” in green print, while Samuel sported gray sweats and a blue graphic T-shirt.

Affleck’s upbeat Friday night outing starkly contrasted the glum look he displayed Thursday evening when he was spotted taking Seraphina to the movies with some friends.

He appeared to be slightly distracted at the time and was photographed tending to his phone.

Both of his Los Angeles excursions this week came after his estranged wife, Jennifer Lopez, filed for divorce on the second anniversary of their Georgia wedding ceremony .

According to a Page Six source, the “On the Floor” hitmaker, 55, filed on the special day to stick up for herself since she had tried salvaging her marriage but Affleck, 52, expressed no interest in doing so.

“[Lopez] gave this everything she had; her whole heart,” a person close to the singer told Page Six Saturday. “She would have done anything to make this work.”

The insider continued, “She opened herself up to criticism, ridicule and countless naysayers who told her this was a bad idea, that it was doomed, that there was a reason it didn’t work the first time.”

Page Six learned in May that the “Argo” star was ready to move on from his union and felt he had finally “come to his senses,” deciding that their romance was doomed.

Earlier this month, another Hollywood insider told us Lopez was “furious” and felt “humiliated” by Affleck because she was so certain their chance at love had finally been fulfilled.

“He’s humiliated her because she made a big deal that he’s the love of her life,” our source explained. “They just had two weddings two years ago. This is some kind of a record, they’re not young kids.”

The pair eloped in Las Vegas in July 2022 before inviting family and friends to Affleck’s Georgia home for a formal ceremony.

In a full-circle moment, they said “I do” 20 years after they were originally engaged .

Page Six’s insider also said Lopez is upset because their children are involved.

While the exes did not have any children together, they blended their five kids when they tied the knot.

In addition to Seraphina and Samuel, Affleck has an 18-year-old daughter, Violet, with Garner.

Lopez has 16-year-old twins, Max and Emme, from her marriage to Marc Anthony.

The “Jersey Girl” star listed her and Affleck’s official date of separation as April 26.

She cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for their separation.
