Meg Ryan enjoys shopping date with daughter Daisy, 20, in rare public sighting

Meg Ryan was spotted enjoying a shopping date with her 20-year-old daughter, Daisy, in New York City on Wednesday.

The “You’ve Got Mail” star and her daughter were seen browsing books in Soho’s McNally Jackson Bookstore before moving on to Tribeca to shop for some clothes.

The pair looked content as they strolled the city together in casual outfits.

Ryan, 62, looked effortlessly chic in a plain white long-sleeved top and black cargo pants. She completed her comfortable look with black sneakers and a matching crossbody bag.

Daisy, meanwhile, wore a butterfly-printed button-up top tucked into a pair of blue jeans with a black belt. She added white kicks and layered on some bracelets.

Ryan adopted Daisy from China in 2006 when she was about 2 years old.

“I’m convinced of magic because of our relationship. We were destined,” the actress gushed to Glamour in December 2023 about her connection with Daisy.

The “When Harry Met Sally” star also shares a 32-year-old son, Jack, with her ex-husband, actor Dennis Quaid.

She and Quaid, 70, were married for a decade before parting ways in 2001.

“My kids have always been a blast. They’re the best hang,” she said in her interview with Glamour. “They’re so alive in their curiosity and interest in the world.”

Ryan is clearly a proud mom since she also called Daisy and Jack “two of the greatest kids” while speaking to People in October 2023.

Jack has followed in his parents’ footsteps as an actor, having appeared in 2012’s “The Hunger Games” and 2023’s “Oppenheimer.” He also stars in the Prime Video series “The Boys” as vigilante Hughie Campbell.

It’s not clear if Daisy plans to pursue acting. She is currently an undergraduate student.

The pair’s mother-daughter outing comes after Ryan made a rare red carpet appearance at the Sarajevo Film Festival in Europe last week.

She was given the Honorary Heart of Sarajevo award for her contributions to the film industry.

“I just feel so happy to be able to be here and thank you face to face for your example during the siege,” she said in her acceptance speech , which she shared in part on Instagram.

Ryan was referring to the Siege of Sarajevo during the Bosnian War. The festival was established in 1995 during the war.

“I mean, you proved that art and culture are the resistance. You are proof that diversity is power. That art is whatever makes you feel less alone,” she added.
