Zac Efron is back on the party scene and looking well just weeks after being rushed to a hospital following a scary swimming pool incident.
The “17 Again” star, 36, concealed his face with black sunglasses while attending the star-studded amfAR Gala during the 81st Venice International Film Festival on Sunday.
Efron, who eventually removed his shades to display his baby blue eyes, was spotted smiling and making the rounds at the event in a sleek, all-black look.
At one point, the “High School Musical” star schmoozed with Richard Gere and the “Pretty Woman” actor’s wife, Alejandra Silva, and the trio even posed for a joyful snap together.
Other notable names at the event included Antonio Banderas and Kate Beckinsale, who hosted the event, and guests were treated to performances by Kelly Rowland and Rumer Willis.
Efron’s attendance at the gala marked his first public appearance since receiving medical care after a suffering “minor swimming incident” in Ibiza, Spain, on Aug. 2.
He was reportedly discovered inside a pool at a villa by two security guards who had to pull him out of the water.
The “Baywatch” star dove too deep into the pool and hit his chest on the bottom, causing him to ingest “a large amount of water into his lungs,” a source told TMZ last month.
After being retrieved, he reportedly displayed “signs of distress.”
He was also said to have appeared “momentarily dazed.”
Efron’s rep told the outlet at the time that the actor had been taken to a hospital only as a “precautionary measure” and was discharged the next morning.
Efron himself assured his fans that all was well shortly after when he posted a shirtless workout photo to his Instagram Story on Aug. 3 with the caption, “Happy and healthy.”
He then thanked his supporters for sending him “well wishes” following the scare.
Three days later, the former Disney Channel star touched down in Miami before heading to a mansion on an island in Biscayne Bay to relax.
Efron wore a black mask to hide his face at the time, but he seemed to be in good condition as he walked with his entourage without any trouble or signs of injury.
