Katie Holmes brings back an old favorite sweater in preparation for fall weather

Looks like Katie Holmes is shopping her closet ahead of the fall season.

On Wednesday, the actress, 45, was seen out and about in New York, gearing up for sweater weather by slipping on a fair isle knit design from A.P.C.

Keeping her outfit on the classic side, Holmes paired the red and beige design — which she first wore in 2022 — with some light-wash, wide-leg jeans, adding a brown belt, canvas shoulder bag and coordinating leather ballet flats to pull it all together.

The former “Dawson’s Creek” star chose to keep the rest of the look low-key, pulling her hair into a ponytail and going fresh faced, adding square-framed sunglasses as the final touch.

In August 2022, Holmes was seen sporting the same seasonal sweater, although she styled it a bit differently, skipping jeans in favor of extremely baggy black pants.

It’s no surprised that the star would break out the piece again as the weather cools off — the classic crewneck clearly adheres to an outfit formula she’s been following as of late.

Earlier in the month, the mom of one was seen wearing a similar ensemble consisting of boot-cut jeans, a structured white shirt and black flats, and even brought the basic, tried-and-true combo to the red carpet, styling denim bottoms with a caramel cardigan and blazer for the “Our Town” photocall.

Holmes even went with jeans and a simple top back in August, pairing a gauzy shirt with medium wash bottoms shortly after she dropped off her daughter, Suri Cruise, 18, at college .

That time, she played around with accessories, adding a baseball cap and layers of necklaces for a stylish spin.

Seems like she’s nailed the transitional look.
