David and Victoria Beckham could face a lot of dust and drilling over the next year and a possible “year of misery” due to renovations next to their London home.

The local council approved major renovation plans on the property next to the Beckhams’ lux London townhouse located in the Holland Park area of Kensington, an area known as “Millionaire’s Row,” according to the UK Sun .

The new owner plans on renovating all five floors of the pricey mansion, which has six bedrooms and an underground swimming pool.

Some of the rehaul is to fix illegal modifications that were done without proper planning in 2004, according to the outlet.

That included new kitchens and bedrooms, solar panels on the roof and underfloor heating.

But the council wanted the Beckhams to approve the upgrade and stated in documents that it wouldn’t give planning permission without them on board.

“You are expected to discuss your proposals with all neighbors with a boundary with your site, as we will advise them of any application, as well as any residents’ association or society,” the planning officer wrote in a pre-planning advice document.

“You may be able to deal with any concerns they may have before making the application and therefore avoid objections being submitted by them.”

The officer added that even if the Beckhams grumble about say, noisy workmen, “they will be grateful for being better informed.”

“I recommend you write to your neighbors to explain what you are intending to do and offer them the opportunity to discuss this with you. You should include a copy of drawings.”

The new owners are expected to provide details of the planned renovations and answer any feedback or problems raised.

“Where you have not made any changes based on the feedback received, you should provide reasons why,” the officer explained.
