Kayla Nicole has something else to say after her viral interview on Angel Reese’s “Unapologetically Angel” podcast.
The model and influencer seemingly responded to Teyana Taylor’s shade as she took her Instagram Story Saturday to share a video of herself twirling her hair. She looked unbothered as she made a kissy face and held up a peace sign for the camera.
The lyrics of Beyoncé’s song “Formation” played in the background: “You know you that bitch when you cause all this conversation. Always stay gracious, best revenge is your paper.”
“I dressed up as that lady for Halloween! It went viral, it was everywhere,” Nicole, 32, admitted during Thursday’s episode of “Unapologetically Angel.”
After noting that she didn’t care whether internet sleuths discovered who she was talking about, people quickly figured out that she was talking about Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert.
The “Gonna Love Me” singer, 33, was married to the former NBA player, 34, from 2016 to 2023 and they share two daughters.
Taylor responded to Nicole’s podcast confession in a since-deleted comment on the Shade Room’s Instagram post Friday.
“F–k the iman part, l’m divorced and happily so, however her choice of words were very distasteful and uncalled for,” she wrote.
“She knew exactly what she was doing. That lady said ‘she was famous at the time’ [and] also said ‘idc who see it’ [and] it was very distasteful & uncalled for,” Taylor continued. “Most importantly she knew people would dig.”
Nicole shot back at the social media criticism via X Friday, writing, “Sometimes I’m asked about my personal life and decide to share the lessons I’ve learned.
“To reiterate what I said in the hour long interview — learn from my mistakes. If u watched in its entirety, you’d know I don’t condone the ‘crazy’ decision I made literally 10 YEARS AGO.”
