Liam Payne traveled to Argentina to reconcile with One Direction bandmate Niall Horan 2 weeks before his death

Liam Payne took to social media just two weeks before his sudden death on Wednesday to reveal that he wanted to reconcile with his former One Direction bandmate, Niall Horan.
“I think we might just go and say hello,” the late 31-year-old said in a video on Snapchat that was reposted on X .
“It’s been a while since me and Niall have spoken. We’ve got a lot to talk about. And I would like to square up a couple things with the boy.”
Payne explained that there were “no bad vibes or anything like that” and that he just needed to “talk” to Horan at his Oct. 2 concert in Argentina.
While at the show the father of one stopped to pose for photos with fans and was even recorded speaking in Spanish for a crowd of people.
Payne fell from the balcony of his hotel room at CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on Wednesday, according to local officials, per the Associated Press .
Local police released a statement that revealed the recording artist’s fall resulted in “extremely serious injuries,” and his death was confirmed upon medics arrival.
Pablo Policicchio, the spokesperson for the Security Ministry of Buenos Aires municipality, told AP that Payne “had thrown himself from the balcony of his room.”
First responders heard a thud and discovered Payne’s body in the courtyard of the hotel.
Soon after news of Payne’s death landed across social media, many fans and celebrities reacted with somber posts .
“So upsetting to hear the news of @LiamPayne passing😢 Sending love and condolences to his family & loved ones. 🙏 RIP my friend🥺,” Paris Hilton wrote via X.
Singer Charlie Puth took to his Instagram Story and recalled a fond memory with Payne.
“I am in shock right now,” the “We Don’t Talk Anymore” hitmaker penned. “Liam was always so kind to me. He was one of the first major artists I got to work with. I can not believe he is gone … I am so upset right now, may he rest in peace.”
