    Person rescued after vehicle goes off bridge, into creek in Pageland

    PAGELAND, S.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Rescue crews responded to a vehicle that went off a bridge and into a creek, according to Pageland Rescue Squad.

    Around 4:10 p.m. Sunday, Pageland Rescue and Highpoint Fire were dispatched to Landsford Road at Gene Blakney Road for reports of a motor vehicle accident involving a vehicle driving off a bridge and into a creek.

    When crews arrived, it was determined that the occupant of the vehicle was trapped inside.

    The occupant was successfully removed from the car and transported to Atrium Health Main in Charlotte.

    The incident is now under investigation by SC Highway Patrol.

    No word yet on how this incident happened or the condition of the victim.
