A Garden With Wings Butterfly House

Event Dates: July 1, 2021 through July 30, 2021

This annual exhibit and local favorite event at the Smith-Gilbert Gardens in Kennesaw allows visitors to see butterflies in all stages of life. You can observe the butterflies in action as they make their home among tulip poplar, passionflower vines, lantana, and butterfly weed.

Smyrna Food Truck Tuesdays

Event Dates: every Tuesday through October 12, 2021 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Visit Taylor-Brawner Park for Smyrna’s Food Truck Tuesdays where you can enjoy tasting samplings from a gathering of mobile gourmet food trucks and listen to music. It’s a great time to hang out with friends and experience local flavors.

4th of July Celebrations

Event Dates: July 2, 2021 through July 4, 2021

Cobb Idol 2021

Event Date: July 10, 2021 at 8 p.m.

Cobb Idol is a live outdoor concert competition featuring the best voices in Cobb County. This annual fundraising event will take places at the Life University Amphitheatre. Tickets cost $10 and proceeds support The Earl and Rachel Smith Strand Theatre.

Southern Spirits at the Southern Museum

Event Date: July 16, 2021 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The Southern Museum and the Kennesaw Museum Foundation are hosting an adults-only event full of live music, drinks, and a chance to explore the museum after hours. Tickets will include your museum entrance, a pint glass, hors d’oeuvres, and local craft beverages.

Christmas in July at Town Center at Cobb

Event Date: July 17, 2021 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Celebrate Christmas in July and get your photos ready for this year’s Christmas card. Santa will be available for photos from noon until 5 p.m., and you can get digital photos for $10. You can jam out to your favorite Christmas and beach tunes from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and get a balloon animal from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Southeast Homeschool Expo

Event Dates: July 30, 2021 through July 31, 2021

The annual Southeast Homeschool Expo is held at the Cobb Galleria Centre. This two-day expo is devoted to the display, sale, and discussion of educational materials for students of all ages. You can attend “how-to” sessions on topics covering how to get started homeschooling, avoiding burn-out, and encouraging independent learning.
