    Annual Earth Day Festival at Georgia Tech

    Dates: April 18, 2022 through April 22, 2022

    The 25th annual Earth Day Festival at Georgia Tech will feature virtual and in-person opportunities to participate this year. There will be recycling opportunities for hard to recycle materials, a clothing swap, a bird walk, a sustainability tour of the campus, a tree planting volunteer event, and more. The event is free and open to the public.

    Earth Day at the Atlanta Botanical Garden

    Date: April 22, 2022 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

    Visit the Atlanta Botanical Garden this Earth Day to participate in fun family activities that celebrate nature and the beauty of the garden’s plants.     Join the Syracuse University Alumni Club of Atlanta for an Earth Day hike at Sweetwater Creek State Park. The event is free to attend, but the state park has a parking fee of $5 per vehicle.

    Georgia Forestry Foundation Earth Day Celebration at Ponce City Market

    Date: April 23, 2022 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

    The Georgia Forestry Foundation is hosting an event to bring together Atlanta nonprofits, educational groups, and environmental advocacy groups for a celebration of Earth Day fun at Ponce City Market. Learn about the importance of forestry to environmentalism in Georgia through virtual reality experiences, giveaways, interactive activities with animals, and an appearance by Smokey Bear.
