California Highway Patrol (CHP) said the one-vehicle crash happened just before 10am on October 26, 2024 on northbound I-15 just before the Main Street exit.

For reasons still under investigation, the male driver of a dark gray Nissan Titan lost control, hit the ditch in the right shoulder, and striking into the steel freeway sign just before the Main St. offramp.

San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to the scene and confirmed the driver was trapped in the driver’s seat and would require extrication.

Firefighters were able to remove him from the truck and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

We will update this story with more information when the CHP’s preliminary accident report is available. Additional details were limited at this time. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Victorville Office.
