Mom pleads not guilty to daughter's suspected Santa Cruz fentanyl death
SANTA CRUZ, Calif. — A Santa Cruz mother pleaded not guilty on Thursday to the murder of her daughter, who died from a drug possibly fentanyl overdose. Korisa Woll, 38, was arrested on July 28 after she showed up at a local hospital with her dead daughter. Santa Cruz Police then responded to the hospital where an investigation was opened.

Unhoused individuals walk an average of 15 miles per day to meet their basic needs. This Walk is in honor of that struggle and the resilience of DST Team Members.

TULELAKE, Calif. – A new National Park Service report shows that 136,164 visitors to Lava Beds and 2,731 visitors to Tule Lake National Monuments in 2023 spent a total of $6,968,000 in communities near the park. That spending supported 79 jobs in the local area and had a cumulative benefit to the local economy of $7,794,000.
