    Good morning! 🌞

Hope everyone had a great weekend! Mine was awfully busy as I attended the 17th Annual Phantoschope High School Film Festival and the All Wayne County High School Art Exhibition at the Richmond Art Museum (stories on both coming this week), as well as an Impractical Jokers show in Youngstown, Ohio to relax!

But that's later this week, let's get into today's stories!

🎶 Song of the Day! 🎶

Help spread the word: Forward this email to your family and friends and encourage them to sign up here.

🎬 Richmond resident stars in upcoming movie to release this week

Faith has been a huge part of Derek Brown's life.

It's led him to be a professional wrestler for over two decades and a published author chronicling his weight loss journey.

Now, it's led him to the big screen, as he is set to appear as an extra in the upcoming Christian film "Unsung Hero," based on the true story of the Smallbone family, including Grammy Award-winning artists Rebecca St. James and for King + Country.

Brown will be at the advance screening Wednesday, April 24 at the AMC theater here in Richmond at 6 p.m., ahead of its release date of Friday, April 26.

Hagerstown No. 1 in Class 2A: For just the fifth time in the school's history, the Tigers' baseball program are ranked first in the IHSBCA Coaches Poll and are 10-0 this season (as of Friday, April 19).

👨‍🌾 Holcomb touts state's agriculture: As his time as Ind. Gov. winds down, Eric Holcomb made his first official visits to Brazil and Mexico recently to discuss the agricultural partnerships Indiana has with them.

🏫 A four-day week?: An elementary school in Lafayette is doing something no public school in the state has done before.

🚔 Man shot in pawn shop: In Muncie, a man was shot by an employee after allegedly attacking two workers with "a blunt instrument."

🌕 Pink moon coming: If you enjoyed the eclipse earlier this month, just wait for the pink moon Tuesday night! And no, the moon does not actually turn pink.

    😊 Good News Monday! 😊

I wanted to return to our Humankind Instagram page this week after last week's introduction to it just because I feel like I've missed out on featuring these wonderful and heartwarming videos over the past several months.

This week's videos will definitely bring you faith in humanity (kind of fitting considering today's top story) as fellow Boston Marathon runners carry each other across the finish line to help them reach a milestone.

Not enough? What about this video, where a happily engaged couple surprises friends and family at a housewarming party, revealing that it is also their wedding day?

Finally, there is this one, where a couple meets their granddaughter for the first time, as their son, who lives in New Jersey, surprises them in Columbia.

Thank you for taking the time to read through today's newsletter. I always appreciate story tips so send those ideas, questions and observations my way. Email me at eweaver@gannett.com and you can follow me on X (@evan_weaver7).
