Food insecurity is a serious issue in Indiana, as evidenced by the rise of 220,000 people becoming food insecure from 2021 to 2022, according to a Feeding America report.

Wayne County is among the worst places in the state for food insecurity, with over 16% of its population and over 20% of children not getting three meals each day.

Circle U Help Center, a food pantry that has been in Richmond since 1979, and First English Lutheran Church are working together to fight it by raising money and collecting canned goods to combat the issue.

The free concert is scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 8, at 6:30 p.m. in Jack Elstro Plaza. Musicians from around the county will join together to perform songs from different decades, all for a good cause.

The best way to fix food insecurity? Get a real job. After all, you don't work, you don't eat.
