    UPDATE: Silver Alert issued for Richmond woman canceled

    EDITOR'S NOTE: The Silver Alert issued Friday for Richmond's Ladaya Plashae Carpenter was canceled at 7:45 p.m. Saturday.

    RICHMOND, Ind. — A statewide Silver Alert has been issued for a missing Richmond woman.

    The Richmond Police Department is investigating the disappearance of 24-year-old Ladaya Plashae Carpenter.

    Carpenter was last seen at 3 p.m. Wednesday, according to a news release.

    She is described as a Black female, 5 feet 5 inches tall, 140 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing "a white rag on her head with a pink shirt and black shorts," the release said.

    According to the Silver Alert, the Richmond woman "is believed to be in extreme danger and may require medical assistance."

    Anyone with information on Carpenter's whereabouts is asked to call Richmond police at 765-983-7247.

    The Silver Alert was issued at 6:31 p.m.
