RICHMOND, Ind. — The 4th Street Fair is back and ready for another record-setting year Saturday and Sunday as Richmond's oldest street festival.

After last year's fair saw nearly 120 vendors, according to organizer Gail Davis, this year will see an increase up to more than 140, according to a press release.

The 43rd annual event, thousands are expected to attend the fair, which is free, that will also feature two food courts filled with food trucks, tables, tents and chairs, a Kids Zone with new games and prizes to be given away by local churches and rest tents that will be strategically placed throughout.

According to the fair's website, 18 food vendors are expected to be there, including Big Poppa's Pork Pit, Fricker's, Sweet Blessings, Ullery's and many more.

New to this year will be a performance area between South A and B streets, where local talents will be performing live music.

Talents expected to perform include Maevyn Stone, Cat Campbell & Brian Franks, Joe & Erin, Elijah Batson, Atomic Kingpins, Craig Wynne, Richmond High School's Steel Band, Seton Catholic High School, Drunda Tribal and more.

The full schedule of musicians, as well as all food and art vendors, can be found on the 4th Street Fair's website, 4thstreetfair.com.

Anybody wishing to volunteer to help out at the fair are still able to fill out a form on the website as well.

After the closing of Senior Opportunity Services, Davis also said a new 501 (c) 3 has been started, called The 4th Street Foundation, has been established to ensure the future of the 4th Street Fair.

The release added that in keeping with the spirit of the fair’s founder, Gertrude “Lucky” Ward, all proceeds will be going back to the community through the foundation.
