Over the past few weeks, Richmond High School's volleyball and boys basketball teams have been in the middle of a dispute.

Sources within the volleyball program state the center of the dispute deals with the main gym usage by the boys basketball team while the volleyball team is in season.

One player said the basketball team's practice one day resulted in the volleyball team setting up late for senior night.

RCS Superintendent Curtis Wright said there is an ongoing investigation. Volleyball players said head coach Darrell Morken has been placed on administrative leave with pay while it is ongoing.

A player also said the team has filed "13 or 14" Title IX complaints with the IHSAA, which as of publication are still under investigation.

    😊 Good News Monday 😊

There's a new pizza place in Wayne County.

Last week, I stumbled across a Facebook post from a friend of one of the owners of Chicago's Pizza stating that the company just held its grand opening in Cambridge City last week.

From looking at the page, the company is locally owned and operated and has a full menu of appetizers, desserts and, of course, pizza.

I am planning a story about the restaurant's opening, but in the meantime, expect my Wednesday feature to be from there.

and, if they put the volleyball coach on paid administrative leave, both coaches should have been treated equally. But, I agree, the girls volleyball team had the right to the court.

This is not fair to the volleyball coach and players. It’s not even basketball season yet, but it is volleyball’s.
