If you've purchased a new flag ahead of Independence Day and you're looking for a respectful way to dispose of your old tattered flag, the Solid Waste Authority of Palm Beach County is helping out.

U.S. Flag Code dictates that flags should be respectfully retired.

The SWA has set up special drop boxes at seven Home Chemical and Recycling Centers across the county where you can deposit your American flags for proper retirement with honor and respect.

They are in East and West Delray Beach, Jupiter, Lantana, Royal Palm Beach, West Palm Beach and there is one in Belle Glade.
