TAMPA — Miami Dolphins rookie receiver Malik Washington made a few big plays in Miami's 24-14 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFL preseason Friday night at Raymond James Stadium.

"He played as though the game was slow to him," Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel said. "It slowed down, and he was able to get into some space. I think we hadn’t gotten the chance to see something we saw in college from him that he put on display tonight, which is his balance and ability to break tackles."

Other rookies who played for Miami included edge Chop Robinson , left tackle Patrick Paul , running back Jaylen Wright, edge Mo Kamara .

Safety Patrick McMorris was seen in a walking boot. Receiver Tahj Washington is on injured reserve.
