For Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill , Sunday was a bit surreal.

Even after scoring an 80-yard touchdown to help flip momentum to the Miami Dolphins in their 20-17 victory against the Jacksonville Jaguars .

Even after celebrating his touchdown by placing his hands behind his back and having teammate Jaylen Waddle act as if he was arresting him.

He still wasn’t really sure about why he was detained for a traffic violation outside of Hard Rock Stadium that resulted in him and other members of the Dolphins in handcuffs.

JOE SCHAD: Excessive force by police? Tyreek Hill incident overshadows Dolphins win

“Right now I’m still trying to put it all together,” Hill said during his post game availability on Sunday. “I’m not going to give you a version that I still don’t know what happened.”

What happened after Tyreek Hill was detained

Hill finished the game with seven receptions for 130 yards and the touchdown. But he offered a question in post game that is a sobering reality for many people who’ve had similar interactions with law enforcement.

“I do want to be able to use this platform to say ‘What if I wasn’t Tyreek Hill?’” He said. “Like worst case scenario because it is crazy.”

Hill said that one day he wants to be a police officer and he’d like to use his platform the work with Miami-Dade to make this a positive thing.

When asked if he knows why he was placed in handcuffs, he maintained that he did not know.

He said his mom didn’t raise him to be disrespectful. He didn’t curse or anything, according to him.

    Tyreek Hill's teammates step up

One bright spot that came from the situation was the support he received from his teammates. To Hill, it was something that showed the bond the team had built thus far.

“I’m just glad that my teammates were there to support me in that situation because I felt alone,” he said. “When they showed up, it made me realize that we got a (expletive) good team this year, dawg, for them to put their life on the line. It was amazing to see.”
