Metro-Dade Police released body-cam footage of the incident involving Tyreek Hill on Monday, a 3-minute, 35-second video that shows the confrontation between the Miami Dolphins ’ receiver and police quickly escalating after he was stopped for an alleged traffic violation.

The confrontation occurred shortly before the Dolphins opened the season by defeating the Jacksonville Jaguars 20-17, with Hill playing a starring role and scoring on an 80-yard pass.

Stephanie V. Daniels, director of Miami-Dade Police, said in a statement the video was quickly released “in our commitment to transparency and maintaining public trust.”

In an interview with NBC News, Hill said the confrontation went from "0 to 60" quickly and that if not for his fame, the results could have been worse.

The video begins with an officer walking toward Hill’s vehicle and asking why Hill didn’t have his seatbelt on, but quickly turns confrontational after Hill rolled his tinted window back up.

“Keep that window down,” one officer says. A few seconds later, he says, “Keep your window down or I’m going to get you out of the car. As a matter of fact, get out of the car.”

A second officer then threatens to break the window.

Two officers then pull on Hill as he was exiting the vehicle and force him to the ground, with one officer placing his knee on Hill’s back.

An officer admonishes Hill: “When we tell you something, you do it, you understand? You understand? Not when you want, when we tell you. You’re a little (bleeping) confused.”

At this point, Hill is handcuffed.

“Take me to jail, bro,” he says. “Do what you got to do, bro.”

He asks, “Why y’all beating on my window like y’all crazy for?”

Jonnu Smith also confronted by police

Teammate Jonnu Smith stops his SUV in front of Hill’s car and is confronted by police. Meanwhile, police begin to force Hill down from what had been a standing position.

"I just had surgery on my knee, bro," Hill says.

This brings two retorts from officers:

    "What a coincidence."

"Did you have surgery on your ears when we tell you to put your window down?"

Turning to Smith, one officer demands to see his license as words are exchanged with another officer. The first officer begins waving handcuffs in front of him as the video ends.

Hill spoke with NBC about the incident.

"If I wasn't Tyreek Hill, Lord knows, I probably would have been, like, worst-case scenario, I would have been shot or would have been locked up" and "put behind bars, you know, for a simple speeding ticket," Hill said.

"And that's crazy that officers would take it, you know, to that level."

Hill added, "It just went from 0 to 60, man, from the moment that those guys pulled up behind me, knocked on my window, it went from 0 to 60 immediately."

Hill said teammate Calais Campbell, who also attempted to intervene, was handcuffed "just for being 6-8, I think. ... It was crazy how that same officer who took me down handcuffed Calais for just standing on the side.

"That officer was really on a power trip.”

Cops are such power tripping assholes and then lie about it, they use words to try and make it seem ok. The cop forced him back to the ground hard but they say the cop redirected him to the ground. The body camera footage should go directly to a company that will always show the truth of it all instead of cops releasing it when they want and how they want…..
