Tyreek Hill says he still hasn't fully grasped what happened when he was handcuffed by Miami-Dade police before Sunday's game outside Hard Rock Stadium. He also said he doesn't want to hear from the officers who forcibly pulled him from his car and onto the ground multiple times.

The Miami Dolphins ' star receiver talked with Taylor Rooks on Amazon Prime before Thursday night's game against the Buffalo Bills . Hill said he was "embarrassed" by the incident.

"It's tough, it's hard, going through something like that," Hill said in the interview. "It's traumatic, it's embarrassing for my family, my kids, my wife especially, to have my wife ornery when she's pregnant. So yeah, I'm still trying to put it all together, still trying to put the pieces (of) the puzzle (together)."

Tyreek Hill: Officer Danny Torres' actions were 'next-level crazy'

Hill reiterated that one thing he wished he'd done differently was keeping his window down. He said he didn't want passers-by to gawk at him during the stop before the game. But he said the officer escalating the situation was "next-level crazy."

"That doesn't give them the right to put their hands on me, antagonize me, because there was a lot of that going on what a lot of people don't know about," Hill said. "When I was handcuffed behind my back, the officer was pinching me on my neck, like trying to get me to do something to him, which is crazy. Next-level crazy."

Hill has called for Danny Torres , the officer who has been moved to administrative leave after the incident, to be fired. Torres' attorneys have asked for him to be moved back to active duty while the internal investigation continues.

Hill said to make change, "we gotta talk to the top."

"We're gonna have some very uncomfortable conversations," Hill said. "And hopefully we're able to move the needle, which I think we will because athletes, we wanna be able help the police, we wanna be their voice because we all want a safe community. It's important to us, like we got kids, we got family, you guys got kids, you got family, you wanna see your family, you wanna feel safe at the end of the day, so it's important."

Tyreek Hill says he won't take knee during national anthem

Hill said he wouldn't demonstrate during the national anthem because "football is my sanctuary."

Hill said he has watched the bodycam video just once, but his mom and wife have must have watched "100 times."

"My mom, she'd always be like, 'Every time I watch this video, I get madder,' and I said like, 'Let's not get mad. Let's just learn,'" Hill said. "Because the more we get mad, I feel like that's moving us backwards. It's all about accountability on both sides. Like OK, I'm gonna take accountability for my wrongs. I wanna know where I went wrong, how can I get better, and I wanna hear that side of the accountability on that side of the accountability too."

After the interview aired, former NFL cornerback and current analyst Richard Sherman said officers should be criticized over the incident, saying police decided to "not only make the situation worse, but make it physical."
