MIAMI GARDENS — Miami Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel joked with our Hal Habib that if he'd known the Seahawks game would have gone as it did, he would have had Hal call the plays.

"If I would’ve thought that Skylar Thompson and the offense would have scored three points last Sunday, I probably would’ve changed the players, the scheme, everybody – maybe I would’ve had you call plays, I don’t know," said McDaniel, who always tries to keep a sense of humor.

No, there isn't much humor in the Dolphins ' offensive performance over the last six games. And yes, that includes offenses led by Tua Tagovailoa, Skylar Thompson and Tim Boyle.

    It is Snoop Time.

The Daily Dolphin would be surprised if it wasn't the Snoop man under center on "Monday Night Football" against the woeful Titans.

The Daily Dolphin has been surprised before.

But we think it'll be local product Tyler "Snoop" Huntley.

And that excites me. And it should excite the fans.

Huntley is a legitimate NFL backup.

He has speed but also a pretty good career completion percentage.

That said, I would love to see sprint outs and quarterback draws and end around and reverses and trick plays.

I'd love to see jet sweeps and zone read and, yes, more rushes from the running backs, too.

Tyreek Hill said the team suited up in full pads on Thursday. Because the game is Monday, this is like a football Wednesday for the Dolphins, and that's not typical.

We think the Dolphins are tired are being seen as soft.

We think the Dolphins are going to try to hit the Titans in the mouth.

    And they should.

Mike Vrabel's Titans used to do that to Miami.

Vrabel is gone. The Dolphins have added defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver.

He's tough. Jordan Poyer and Jordyn Brooks have said this defense should be tough.

So far the toughest Dolphins have been Zach Sieler and Calais Campbell.

Miami needs some of that on the offensive side of the ball.

This guy Huntley - he seems like a gamer.

Who knows? Maybe the Snoop man will play the role of hero Monday night.

As long as Miami finds a way to win, he'll be exactly that.
