    The Post's Athlete of the Week: Vote on this week's best high school sports performances

    Welcome to Athlete of the Week voting from The Palm Beach Post!

    The poll is open until noon Friday.

    Congratulations to our last winner, Tora Cooper of Dreyfoos School of the Arts volleyball. The junior tallied 41 assists, 19 digs, and a team-high seven aces in a 3-2 match win against Seminole Ridge.

    Each winner will be awarded a one-of-a-kind Athlete of the Week shirt provided by BSN SPORTS. Winners will be contacted weekly. Nominees are accepted via email or phone, but will be selected by staff in the absence of submission.

    Football: Andrew Embick, Jupiter -- Junior signal-called led the Warriors with 196 yards passing and four touchdowns through the air in a 44-13 win over Suncoast

    Football: Bryan Hall, Palm Beach Central -- Senior front-seven defender played a key role in the Broncos' 48-0 shut-out victory over Palm Beach Gardens

    Football: John Crocker, Wellington -- Junior defensive back tallied two interceptions to lead the Wolverines in a shutout victory over Dr. Joaquín García

    Volleyball: Madison Seick, Palm Beach Central -- Freshman middle blocker tallied a team-high 11 kills and five aces in heated a 3-2 match win against Oxbridge, a team they haven't beaten in five years

    Volleyball: Tekoa Barnes, Boca Raton Christian -- Senior led the Blazers with 24 kills in a 3-1 match win over Saint Andrew's, adding 15 digs and 16 serve receives

    Volleyball: Madeline Lee, Wellington -- Senior paced the Wolverines with eight kills and 18 assists in a 3-0 sweep of Forest Hill

    Boys cross country, Joseph Schiro, King's Academy -- Sophomore ran a 19:30.1 to take second place in the Pine School Invitational

    Girls cross country: Samantha Hill, Benjamin -- Senior ran a 24:14.9 to share second place spoils at the Pine School Invitational

    Swimming: Lucas Bailey, Saint Andrew's -- Senior helped the Scots clinch their third consecutive Palm League Championship, setting Palm League records in the 50-yard freestyle (20.77s) and the 100-yard freestyle (45.00s)
