    Baby bye, bye, bye

MIAMI GARDENS — Baby bye, bye, bye.

No, this is not the most ideal time for a bye week for any NFL team, notably your Miami Dolphins .

    Week 6!

Playing 12 straight down the stretch will be a challenge.

Glass-half-full Joe is here to tell you Tua Tagovailoa , Jevon Holland, Jordan Poyer and Skylar Thompson all get an extra week of injury recovery.

And glass-half-full Joe is here to tell you Tyler Huntley can spend the week studying, which should give him his best chance to succeed at Indianapolis in a Week 7 game.

There's really no reason Miami should not be competitive in their bid for a 3-3 start on the verge of Tua return.

Folks, I hope everyone has stayed and continues to stay safe in the wake of Hurricane Milton.

And I hope you have a good weekend, even one without Miami Dolphins football.

Would you check out some of our recent stories below?

I want to give you a few things I think so far before letting myself out. Cool?

I think I hope Tua Tagovailoa returns and plays all or almost all of Miami's games down the stretch.

I think if Tua does that, Miami will be in playoff contention in late December, possibly needing to win each of the final three games to get in: 49ers, at Cleveland, at the Jets.

I think Miami will run the football much more over the final 12 games than you would bet.

I think Zach Sieler is Miami's best defensive player.

I think Kendall Fuller was a nice signing by Chris Grier & Company.

I think Anthony Weaver is off to a nice start as Dolphins' defensive coordinator.

I think Miami will examine potential safety spending (Jevon Holland) with the same discerning eye and sense of caution they did defensive tackle (Christian Wilkins) and guard (Robert Hunt).

I think I feel so bad for Jaelan Phillips. But that his story is far from written.
