Palm Beach is looking to fill two regular and two alternate members positions on the Planning and Zoning Committee.

Those interested in applying have until 5 p.m., Aug. 30, to submit their applications to the Town Clerk’s office.

Applicants will be reviewed and appointed by the Town Council during its Sept. 10 meeting.

Applicants for the regular member positions will vie for the seats now held by Richard Kleid and Chair Gail Coniglio.

Coniglio is eligible for reappointment while Kleid, who is completing his second term on the commission, is not because of term limits.

Those applying for the alternate positions will vie the seats of Nicki McDonald and Dragana Connaughton, both of whom are eligible for reappointment.

The Planning and Zoning Commission is tasked with advising the Town Council in all municipal planning and development matters. Most recently, the commission has been charged with reviewing the draft 2024 Comprehensive Plan and revamped zoning code. The commission also is working with town staff to craft policy recommendations for the Town Council to limit the development of restaurants, bars, nightclubs, lounges and for-profit private clubs in the town's commercial districts.
