Woman injured in three-car crash on South County Road in Palm Beach on Wednesday morning

One person was injured Wednesday morning in a three-vehicle crash that prompted a temporary lane closure on South County Road just north of Royal Palm Way in Palm Beach, a Fire Rescue spokesman said.

The wreck happened on South County Road at the entrance to Phipps Plaza, prompting Palm Beach Police and Fire Rescue officials to shut down the northbound lanes of South County until reopening them before 11 a.m., according to a town alert to residents.

The woman who was injured was taken to Good Samaritan Medical Center in West Palm Beach, said Palm Beach Fire Rescue spokesman Assistant Chief Joe Sekula.

No further information was available Wednesday morning.
