In an effort to target traditional Republican voters who are not part of the MAGA movement, the Harris campaign has announced the “Republicans For Harris” movement.

The group has secured key endorsements from some high ranking republicans with a notable array of former Trump White House officials, including Stephanie Grisham and Olivia Troye. The group also includes former Secretaries Chuck Hagel and Ray LaHood, as well as former Governors Jim Edgar, Bill Weld, and Christine Todd Whitman. Additionally, it boasts support from former U.S. House members such as Rod Chandler, Tom Coleman, Dave Emery, Wayne Gilchrest, Jim Greenwood, Adam Kinzinger, John LeBoutillier, Susan Molinari, Jack Quinn, Denver Riggleman, Claudine Schneider, Christopher Shays, Peter Smith, Alan Steelman, David Trott, and Joe Walsh. Former GOP State Chair and State Senator Chris Vance is also among the endorsers, along with many others.

The Harris campaign said that the program will launch with events this week in Arizona, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania. According to the campaign, Republicans supporting Harris will also join her and her soon-to-be-named running mate at rallies next week.

Republican. Adam Kinzinger, R-Ill. said, “As a proud conservative, I never thought I’d be endorsing a Democrat for President,” he said in a statement. “But, I know Vice President Harris will defend our democracy and ensure Donald Trump never returns to the White House.”

Key to the group’s process is targeting former Republican candidate Nikki Haley’s supporters.

In the meantime, Trump at a recent Georgia went on close to a ten minute tirade against Republican Governor George Kemp who defended and certified the Georgia 2020 election results saying, “He’s a bad guy. He’s a disloyal guy. And he’s a very average governor. Little Brian, little Brian Kemp. Bad guy.”

Kemp for his part fired back at Trump stating, “My focus is on winning this November and saving our country from Kamala Harris and the Democrats – not engaging in petty personal insults, attacking fellow Republicans, or dwelling on the past. You should do the same, Mr. President, and leave my family out of it.”
