Palm Springs – Cathedral City, CA

With the Barracks recent closing last Sunday August 4th, disappointed patrons of their infamous beer busts will have to find a new place to spend a care free Sunday across the Coachella Valley.

Luckily, for the large and vibrant LGBTQ community in the Coachella Valley, there are a good few options to find social connections. Here are three destination spots where patrons can spend some Sunday fun day time:

    Tool Shed

The seemingly most obvious choice for patrons of the Barracks to go to on a Sunday afternoon is the Tool Shed located in the famed Warm Sands District since 1993. The Tool Shed has been catering to the leather community since 1993 and has recently built out an outdoor patio which can hold a large amount of people. In addition, the business has added misters to keep things cool during the hot summer months.

Tool Shed is located at 600 E. Sunny Dunes Rd. Palm Springs, CA 92262 and can be found online here .

    Toucans

To the delight of the community, Toucans is back every Sunday with a brand new Iced Tea Dance hosted by Palm Springs local Jill Langham , from 2pm – 5pm. There is no cover. Established 20 Years Ago, Toucans Tiki Lounge hosts a variety of drag, cabaret, and performance shows.

Toucans Tiki Lounge & Cabaret is located at 2100 North Palm Canyon Drive, Palm Springs, CA 92262. They can be found online here .

Oscar’s is located at 125 E Tahquitz Canyon Way in Palm Springs and can be found online here .
