    Sidewalk replacement, road paving scheduled throughout Palmer this summer

    PALMER, Mass. (WWLP) – The town of Palmer will be replacing some sections of sidewalk and repaving roads throughout the community this summer.

    Eleven projects are planned to be complete this summer:

    • 5 ADA sidewalk ramps in Bondsville at trough intersection.
    • 2 ADA sidewalk ramps in Depot Village at the intersection of Thorndike Street and Pleasant Street, crossing Pleasant Street.
    • Sidewalk replacement in Depot Village, Pleasant Street from Thorndike Street.
    • 3 ADA sidewalk ramps in Thorndike, intersection of Commercial and Main Streets.
    • 3 ADA sidewalk ramps in Three Rivers by the bridge, crossing the public parking lot and cross Main Street.
    • Sidewalk replacement in Three Rivers from 2022 Main Street to Lariviere Street.
    • Sidewalk replacement in Depot Village from Converse Street to 78 Central Street.
    • Road resurfacing from 3118 South Main Street to the Trough intersection in Bondsville, including the intersection and down Bridge Street to the Belchertown bridge.
    • Road resurfacing from 163 Stimpson Street to River Street.
    • Road resurfacing for two half-mile sections of Old Warren Road to replace few bad sections.

    Scheduled dates for the projects will be announced at a later date. Drivers should expect delays when construction begins.
