Multiple crews put out hay baler fire on Boston Road

PALMER, Mass. (WWLP) – Multiple fire crews were sent to Boston Road on Saturday for a hay baler fire.

According to the Palmer Fire Department, at 3:28 p.m., fire crews were called to Boston Road for a hay baler on fire. Multiple crews from Three Rivers, Bondsville, Warren, Ware, and Monson were called in to assist in putting out the fire.

The railroad had to be shut down so that crews could safely access the road leading to the field. No injuries were reported, and the fire was put out at 3:54 p.m.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time. 22News will update this story as soon as more information becomes available.
