Crews respond to reports of a man struck by lightning in Lackawanna County
LACKAWANNA COUNTY, Pa. — Severe storms rolled through the area Monday evening, causing plenty of damage and leaving thousands without power. Around 10 p.m., authorities in Lackawanna County say they were called to a home on Cranberry Avenue in Carbondale for an elderly man reportedly struck by lightning through a window.

Sunbury, Pa. — The children of Alexis Marie Anstey, 27, and David Joseph Heller, 34, of Sunbury, told police they had been locked inside their room for 10 hours and hit with various items, including a belt. Anstey and Heller now face a combined 48 charges for the alleged incidents which police began investigating on June 29, 2023. BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Bethlehem Historic Conservation Commission on Monday tabled decisions on projects calling for the demolition of two historic structures.
