A major IT outage on Friday is affecting computer systems across the globe, including in Maine. The outage is impacting airports, banks, and media companies to name a few. Cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike said that the issue believed to be behind the outage was not a security incident or cyberattack — and that a fix was on the way. The company said the problem occurred when it deployed a faulty update to computers running Microsoft Windows.

GRAY (WGME) -- A Maine man has been charged with drug trafficking after authorities say they found fentanyl, meth, and more inside his home in Gray.
