A Look At Famed Vocal Coach Ken Tamplin's Singing Credits, Critics & Scandals

According to the biography posted on his website, Ken Tamplin:

    - Has "worn every hat in the music industry: singer, songwriter, producer, sound technician, performer, band manager, and coach."

    - Has "received invitations to sing for many popular groups: Motley Crue, Foreigner, INXS, Doobie Brothers, ELO, Black Sabbath, Accept, Peter Frampton, and even Journey."

    - Has written and/or performed music heard in numerous features including Inspector Gadget, Charlie’s Angels, Mod Squad, and Major League III.

    - Has won 4 GMA Dove Awards (the “Gospel Grammys”) and received 12 nominations.

But recently, Tamplin has been accused of lip-synching and possibly faking his vocals.

Other critics have recently suggested that Tamplin has also faked his guitar-playing.

Recently Nikki Sixx from the earlier-mentioned Mötley Crüe denied Tamplin having been offered the opportunity to serve as the band's frontman.

Similar questioning has also arisen with regard to Tamplin's alleged offer to join INXS.

And Tamplin's timeline of working with the band KISS is also being questioned by people possible in the know.

Redditors have now gotten involved within the Tamplinverse -- including a recent thread on the "singing" Subreddit -- so this appears to be an evolving story worth following for aspiring vocalists and investigators alike.
