Owner of the spa I used to work at responds to a review left by a client who is upset that the massage therapists are forced to rely on tips

This has to be the dumbest "clap back" I have ever seen. She didn't even address the fact that she doesn't pay her employees a living wage and forces them to rely on tips, probably because there's absolutely no way to justify it. I worked as the receptionist and I remember during training, the owner heavily emphasized to me how important it was to ask clients if they want to leave gratuity at checkout because "half their income comes from gratuity". Like just pay them a living wage. If you can't do that, then your business model is unsustainable and you shouldn't be running it.
