It's a waste of my time and the companies. It's a awful recruiting tactic and I am sure yields minimal results.

I have been applying for a different job. I have noticed on most employment apps that companies are posting for one city and the actual company is in in a completely different city.

Trying to find a new job that isn’t going to take advantage; LinkedIn is not my favorite place to hunt, but I use whatever I can. Hoping to stumble across a non-profit or something that doesn’t eat my soul haha 🥲 This is a software engineering position.

Stability Achieved: Shifting Views on Work

Basically I’m a university age (18y.o.) employee for a major grocery store chain in Australia and have planned (and booked) a vacation with a large group of my friends to Vietnam in December. When I submitted my leave (4 months notice) it was instantly declined which lead to the attached text conversation. I enjoy working at this place but want to live my life and be able to take leave whenever I can to see the world. As the title says, how can I tell my boss to accept my 4 months holiday notice?

How do I tell my boss that she either has to approve my 4 months notice or accept my 2 weeks resignation?

Unlike in america where one HAS to work 75-80hrs after tsxes.

It's the middle of summer in Texas. This McDonald's here is absolutely horrible. I worked there before and they had tried forcing me to work while I had food poisoning from there Now my bf is there working nights and it seems to be getting worse. What used to be good workers are all leaving and he's planning to as well. He already skips his breaks because they are so shorthanded. Only three to maybe four people working all night.

I'm so sick and tired of jumping through all these hoops for any job that I'd rather just not work, run out of money completely, starve, and die. A backstory. My experience is in auto body work and detail. I moved to Kansas to help family not knowing there's absolutely fucking NOTHING in Leavenworth. So when I got here I had a job lined up for an Amazon delivery job near KC to use temporary while I found something in my field. Well about 3 weeks into the job I get attacked by a German shepherd and got 1 level 4 dog bite on 1 leg and 2 level 3 on the other leg. I got nerve damage and obviously couldn't work. Well workers comp wouldn't take effect for awhile so I had to go back to work on 2 injured legs (this is what causedy nerve damage) and fuck myself up even more just so I could pay my bills, keep my apartment and car. Until I couldn't do the job anymore. I ended up never finding an auto body position by that point still so I had no choice than to go to an job recruiter cause I need immediate money. Well I get a job working in a powder coat factory (I had experience from painting wheels) and I'm told I'd be on the forklift. What happens? They throw me in the paint booth knowing I have an injured leg and I stood in the same fucking spot for 10 hours! Well I finish my shift and on my way back home I totaly car (go figure right...). Well I get a ride into work next day cause there were 2 coworkers that lived in same town as me so they all carpooled. So at this point I was stuck there without a car. But they did put me on the forklift and I would occasionally be in the booth until one day I was in too much pain and they wanted me in the booth so I said fuck that called someone and got picked up. I'm not gonna force myself through physical suffering and pain just for a paycheck. I'll literally kill myself before I do that again. Fast forward today I still haven't got an approval for the surgery on my leg, (fucking corrupt homeowners insurance fucking hate Americas system) I had to quit that job cause I couldn't stand anymore and now I haven't been working for 3 months. I'm out of money. I'm applying everywhere and I mean EVERYWHERE I can get to on a bike. (3 months rest sorta helped it). But nowhere is even calling me. All these jobs a goddamn monkey can do require hours of fucking assessment and psychological tests and whatever bs to make our lives more difficult than it already is while the HR sits on their ass acting like they're doing their fucking job. I done like 15 of these already and nothing. I'm sick of everything being ai generated. I'm sick of not being able to just walk in and interact face to face. I'm sick of our resume and references not being justifiable for hire. So with that said.. this is what I said to a recruiter on the base here for a job at burger king. Mind you I used to manage a McDonald's years ago so I could do that job with my eyes closed. But nope. They want want me to jump through all their hoops and I'm done with it. I'm done applying for jobs. I'm done. I don't care anymore. My life got ruined by a fucking dog everything I worked hard for just to watch it crumble and now I gotta deal with this joke of a system. Fuck outta my face. Government or employers can't make money off me if im dead.
