    Panhandle lighting up the sky for Fourth of July celebrations

    PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. ( WMBB ) – The Panhandle skies will light up for several nights showcasing spectacular firework displays. Several counties are participating in the Independence Day celebration starting July 3 through July 6.

    These events allow all ages to come to enjoy the destination’s turquoise water and white sand beaches for an unforgettable Independence Day celebration.

    “We’re excited to once again bring residents and visitors together in Panama City Beach for an exciting Real. Fun. Fourth celebration,” Panama City Beach President and CEO Dan Rowe said.

    PANAMA CITY BEACH :

    On July 3rd, Freedom Rocks! will begin at 9 p.m. Enjoy breathtaking sunset views overlooking the Grand Lagoon Bridge before the fireworks illuminate the sky. Make sure to come early and dine at one of the waterfront restaurants participating in Freedom Rocks. Bring a blanket or chair and relax on the lawn at Treasure Island Marina.     On July 4th, experience the ultimate celebration of the ‘Star Spangled Spectacular’ at 9 p.m., the largest fireworks display on the Gulf Coast. Guests are welcome to bring their beach chairs and arrive early to secure the best viewing spot. For more information, click here

    The celebration will continue July 5th, ‘Light Up the Gulf’ will host its largest private fireworks show in Panama City Beach at 8:30 p.m. The magic will take place behind the Boardwalk Beach Resort Condominium on 9600 S. Thomas Dr. It will include free entertainment, contests, and kid activities. For more information, click here

    PANAMA CITY :

    On July 6th, ‘Light Up the Bay’ will kick off at 8:30 p.m. at Papa Joe’s Bayside on 4601 West U.S. 98. Guests can bring their chairs and enjoy a variety of food trucks, live music, and a closing night of dazzling fireworks. For more information, click here

    On July 4th, the ‘Salute to Freedom Festival’ hosted by Destination Panama City is bringing the community together from 4 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. The festival will take place on 101 West Beach Drive Panama City.

    The event is free to attend, you can also purchase VIP tickets to have access to private, air-conditioned restrooms, catered food & more. For more information, click here

    LYNN HAVEN :

    The ‘Rotary Club of Lynn Haven’ will host an All-you-can-eat $7 Pancake Breakfast with pancakes, sausage, coffee, and orange juice. Join the community at the Lynn Haven Senior Center at 905 Pennsylvania Ave, Lynn Haven from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. For more information, click here

    The ‘Let Freedom Ring’ concert will take place at A.L. Kinsaul Park. At 7:30 p.m. Nashville’s star Deana Carter will take the stage for an electrifying performance. Food trucks, free photos, and yard games will also be available. The grand finale tops off at 9 p.m. with a spectacular 25-minute fireworks show.

    JACKSON COUNTY:

    Marianna will host an Independence Day celebration on July 3rd, starting from 5 p.m to 9:15 at 3625 Cavern Rd Marianna, FL. The festival will begin at 5 p.m, the concert at 7 p.m., and the fireworks show at 8:45 p.m For more information, click here

    On July 4th, the ’38th Freedom Springs Triathlon’ will be held at the Blue Springs Recreation Park on 5461 Blue Springs Road in Marianna. Come out from 7 am to 10 am for the 400-meter swim, 10-mile bike ride, and 5k run. For more information, click here

    On July 5th, Rivertown Street Cruisers will host an Independence Celebration from 4 p.m until 8 p.m. The event will showcase many vintage vehicles, good food, and great country music. At 8 p.m, they will finish off the event with breathtaking fireworks. The event will be held at Circle D Ranch 3121 Dryden Dr. Marianna, FL.

    Shane Owens and JD Taylor will also take the stage. Any vehicles attending the cruise can start attendance at 3 p.m.

    NORTH WALTON COUNTY:

    DeFuniak Spring will celebrate the 4th of July with a parade around Lake DeFuniak along Circle Drive at 4 p.m. Opening ceremonies and the Okaloosa/Walton Mass Community Band will perform starting at 6 p.m. at the Amphitheater. For more information, click here .

    The City of Freeport will host an annual 4th of July parade and fireworks, parade will start at 4 p.m. at Freeport Middle School, traveling past City Hall, then down Highway 83A to the Freeport Regional Sports Complex. For more information, click here .

    SOUTH WALTON:

    Family and friends can join the excitement for the annual July 4th parade in Grayton Beach. After the parade, everyone is encouraged to meet at Grayton Coast Properties for popsicles, watermelon, and lemonade.

    Seaside will also host a full day of Independence Day celebrations at 4730 Highway 30A, Seaside.

    Alys Beach will celebrate a Fourth of July Concert and Fireworks show on July 4th at 9581 E. Co. Hwy 30A, Aly Beach from 6 – 9 p.m. There will be live music in the Amphitheatre by Bay King Band. Food and drink will be available for purchase.

    Join the 4th of July Red, White, and Baytowne celebration at the Village of Baytowne Wharf. Below Alabama will perform live on the Events Plaza Stage from 7 p.m to 9:15 p.m followed by a fireworks display at 9:15 p.m. For more information, click here

    Don’t forget the kids, there will be activities for them including crafts, face painting, and balloon sculpting.
